The STEM Alliance runs several FIRST LEGO League teams made up of students in the Mamaroneck School District (MUFSD). The leagues started by FIRST, a global nonprofit organization, bring competitive robotics to thousands of students across the world. Teams participate in rigorous competitions and work to advance to regionals and nationals.  It's the tech world's equivalent to a sports league.

Participating in competitive robotics gives kids all the benefits of athletic competition via a whole new platform.  They are scored for sportsmanship, team work, endurance, patience, talent and, of course, tech savvy and innovation. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

This is the only sport where every kid on every team can turn pro.
