The Power of 3 Legacy Society celebrates the visionary work of The STEM Alliance’s three female founders, who recognized the need to create a network of STEM learning opportunities for all children, especially those from low-income families and communities of color.

Rooted in their legacy, this society amplifies the impact of The STEM Alliance’s three vital work streams — Digital Equity, STEM Education & Equity, and Summer Enrichment — while securing a future where transformative STEM programs can thrive. By investing in this legacy, donors ensure that today’s work not only fortifies current initiatives but builds a lasting foundation to inspire and empower generations to come.

Critical to our success in building equal access to STEM enrichment and digital inclusion programming are our regular, on-going gifts from donors.

Year over year, our current donors make regular gifts in a wide range of ways:

These members include The STEM Alliance in their estate plans, through planned gifts such as bequests, beneficiary designations, charitable trusts, or other legacy contributions. These gifts ensure that our mission endures, empowering future generations with the tools and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Bequest

To ensure that your passion for our work continues, you may want to designate a gift to The STEM Alliance in your will, just as you would for a loved one. It could be a specific amount, a portion of your estate, or an asset (e.g. real estate). A charitable bequest in your will is one of the simplest ways to build your legacy of support for the The STEM Alliance.

Retirement Assets

When you list The STEM Alliance as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement assets, you may be entitled to a reduction of tax liability. Estate planners can tell you more about the latest in tax laws so you can consider this option as a way to extend your support to us while maximizing your legacy for you and your family.

Consider this, when making your annual gift, you can also take a moment to designate The STEM Alliance as the beneficiary of your policy. This strengthens your annual gift through a long term legacy gift through your life insurance policy.
